Genuine question, not a dunk. Mailchimp is still the name everyone knows and it does a lot. But between Klaviyo for ecommerce, Beehiiv/Kit for newsletters, and AI-native tools for generation, does Mailchimp still have a clear lane?

It's still a fine generalist for SMBs who want breadth (email + SMS + ads + social) in one familiar place. It's just rarely the BEST at any single thing now. Specialists outgrow it: DTC → Klaviyo, newsletters → Beehiiv/Kit, generation → Brew.

The pricing-on-large-lists complaint is real. For a big list, the contact-based bill gets steep relative to newsletter-focused tools.
